India has more people data than ever. That is not the same as people intelligence.
Deloitte India’s 2026 People Analytics Maturity study, based on more than 85 organizations, found that 43% had reached advanced people analytics maturity. More than 70% still relied on static reporting. The same study found that 76% of organizations were actively identifying future skill gaps and 81% were investing in employee experience, career development and well-being initiatives.
Those numbers point to a transition: workforce data is no longer just an HR reporting asset. It is becoming part of how organizations think about capability, experience and future readiness.
The questions HR should be able to answer
- Where are our emerging skill gaps?
- Which roles are getting harder to hire?
- Where is performance or review completion falling behind?
- Which teams have changing capacity or workload?
- What changed after a reorganization or policy change?
Those questions combine multiple data points. They are difficult to answer when employee records, performance, recruitment and workflow data are disconnected.
Static reporting tells you what happened. Useful analytics helps you decide.
A dashboard can tell you review completion fell. Better analytics lets you ask where it fell, which managers are affected, whether reminders were sent, and whether an organizational change sits underneath the pattern.
That is why data foundations matter. Deloitte India explicitly identifies structured workforce data, high data quality and unified, enriched people data platforms as essential to people analytics maturity. Source: Deloitte India - People Analytics Maturity 2026 .
A four-level maturity test
- Report - Can we produce the number?
- Explain - Can we see and explain the trend?
- Diagnose - Can we identify likely drivers in context?
- Act - Can the right person use the insight quickly enough to change the outcome?
What RightlyHR can put under the dashboard
RightlyHR Core HR includes real-time insights and customizable dashboards. Its broader platform connects workforce data with recruitment, performance and employee processes, giving HR and leaders a more connected view of the workforce.
The value is not the number of dashboards. It is whether a workforce question can be answered without stitching together information from several places - and whether that answer arrives while it is still actionable.
The question to take into your next analytics conversation
Do not ask only, “What reports does the system provide?” Ask, “What workforce decisions can this data help us make faster, and what would we need to connect to make that possible?”
